We are a group of followers of Christ in central Missouri who gather together as the church on Sundays in one another’s homes (often called “home church” or “house church”.) We strive together to follow the pattern of the New Testament church as given in Scripture, encouraging and building up one another in Christ, Who is the head of the body, His Church (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:23-25; Ephesians 4:11-16.)
How this looks in part:
· Families are together
· Teaching of God’s Word by the Men
· Prayer and Sharing Prayer Requests
· Singing of Hymns, Scripture Songs, Choruses, etc.
· Sharing a Meal Together (and Communion)
Being united in Christ is more than joining together in these things. It is the gospel of Christ, the Gospel of salvation that unites. Through believing His gospel (John 3:36; Mark 1:15; Hebrews 4:2) resulting in genuine saving faith, each person becomes a member of a single, united body of Christ and enjoys true fellowship with one another. (Please read through “What is the Gospel?“)
We look forward to hearing from you or having you join us!
“They were continually devoting themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together . . . but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.“ Hebrews 10:23-25
“. . . speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:15-16
